GALILEO performed by Burbage Theatre Co.
Aurora :: 276 Westminster Street :: Fri + Sat :: Variable times :: PAY WHAT YOU CAN!
Galileo examines the tension between the pursuit of knowledge and the power of official ideology, and is widely considered one of Brecht’s masterworks. In the wake of Copernicus’s discovery that the sun is the center of our solar system, Galileo Galilei perceives about him a time of scientific upheaval and general improvement, providing a vision for generations to come grounded in the joyful and fevered pursuit of knowledge. But his hopes of a general enlightenment are cut short when his heretical discoveries about the solar system bring him to the attention of the Inquisition. Tickets and times here!

Tasting Menu at Birch
200 Washington Street :: Thurs-Mon :: 5pm – 10pm :: $$$
birch has built a menu that balances adventure with tradition. Focusing on super local produce prepared in unusual ways, this time of year is an exciting season at birch. Go get spoiled with gorgeous dishes like the slightly warmed tomato with shellfish, herb capers, and peppers, picture above. Other highlights include lightly grilled cabbage, grilled RI duck, and cucumber served with salted beach rose, fennel, and pistachio. 4 course tasting menu is $55, but we recommend adding the drink pairings for $35 to really round out the meal.
